April 7 (AM) - “International Careers Career Opportunities in International Economic Development” - Panelists: Adrienne Nassau, President, the 1818 Society (World Bank Group Retiree Association), Geri Critchly, SR. Recruiter, MRI, Soonhoon Ahn, Gene Owens

May 18 (PM) - “Professional Employer Organizations - what your clients should know.” - The DOL estimates that by 2020, more than half of all the US workforce will work for one. Share and learn best practices in helping clients get employment through such agencies.

June 2 (AM) - (co-sponsor with MACLPN) “Monster.com Program - Updates to Help Your Clients” - Presenter: Toni Little, Director of Federal Business Dev. at Monster.com

July 20 (PM) - “Negotiating - Best Practices and Current Negotiable” - Presenter: Nan Siemer. Best practices in negotiating salaries and benefits, including the latest on the controversy reegarding whether to stall on talking salary or go with the HR flow and talk turkey up front. Also, a discussion on current "negotiable."

September 20 (PM) - “Marketing Your Coaching Business for Financial Success” - Presenter: Richard Knowdell

October 13 (PM) - “Diversity Skills and Techniques Counselors/Consultants/Coaches Need to Help Clients Work in Diverse Workplaces.” Enhancing multi-cultural sensitivity of career professionals.

November 22 (PM) - “Employment Trends: What's Been Happening and What's Coming Up? Where Are the Jobs?”

December 8 (PM) - “Networking for Happy Time” - joined by members of sister organizations and our spouses: ASTD, MAC/LPN, MCDA, ICF, et al.

February 2006 - Professional Development Concurrent Workshops: 1) Assessment Skills Development (MBTI, Strong, etc.), 2) Career Coaching with Partnership of Human Resources Professionals, 3) Coaching: Based on "The 12 Bad Habits That Hold Good People Back" by Waldroop and Butler.

Membership Renewal Reminder Procedure

Begin sending emails to a member one month after renewal date. For example, if a member’s renewal date is November 1st, the first notice goes out after downloading the chapter membership listing as of December 1st and check to see if dues was renewed in a timely fashion.

First notice: “Just a brief note to let you know that your renewal date of your ACP dues was November 1st. We hope that you have been enjoying your benefits as an ACP member and have found our local meetings to be of interest and good networking opportunities. You can pay your dues by either contacting ACP Headquarters either by phone: 202-547-6377 or online at: www.acpinternational.org. We hope to see you at a future meeting. In the meantime if you have any questions, please contact me.
