Bob Maher, CMF, Chair - Professional Certification Committee

Bob Maher, CMF, is on the Founder's Council of the International Association. He was the Dallas/ Ft. Worth (DFW) Chapter's Founding President. He served as one of the Association’s original Regional Directors, initiating start-up Chapter activity in Houston, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, St. Louis and his own hometown, Milwaukee. He also served the International Association as its second Professional Development Chair, following in the giant footsteps of Dr. James Gallagher who went on to found the Certification process and Board.

Currently Bob is the DFW Chapter's webmaster, Technology Chair and Career Resource Forum Chair. He received the Association’s Leadership Award in 1995 for his efforts in pulling together the first virtual Chapter, the E Chapter. His passion is the integration of technology into the practice arena…the high tech/ high touch philosophy, as he calls it.

Bob has been delivering career management services since 1980. While most of his experience has been in independent practice, he was instrumental in the start-up of a Dallas office for a major international provider of career transition services, serving as their Senior Consultant. Currently, he is Vice President-Career Continuation with the Career Control Group, an Optimance Company.
