Karen
V. Lucas - At Large/Advisory Board Member Karen has more than twenty years of
private and public sector business management, consulting, and entrepreneurial
experience, including an extensive background in the human resource
consulting industry. She has coached and counseled organizational
decision-makers from diverse environments on issues impacting individual
performance, development, retention and transition. Her consulting
expertise in career and life planning has assisted senior level
executives in one-on-one and team situations. A Founding Partner of Executive Coaching
Partners, LLC, Karen previously served as a Vice President of one
of the largest, global, career management firms, functioning as
Managing Director for several program areas. One
of her earliest entrepreneurial ventures focused on opening and
managing an out-of-state, full service office for a national, privately
held, consulting firm. Karen has significant operations management
and consulting background in the financial services industry, hands-on
experience in the educational field, and academic credentials in
business, education and educational psychology. Karen is President
and Owner of Visual Impact Consulting, Inc., a consulting practice
stressing the significance of displaying an impactful visual image
as part of an effective overall presentation. Professional memberships have included
the International, National and Chicago Board of Directors - Association
of Career Professionals International; Chicago Board of Directors
- Association of Image Consultants International; National Association
of 100 Black Women; National Association of African Americans in
Human Resources; Mentor, Menttium 100; Human Resource Management
